I swear this song was slightly changed and it's tripping me the heck out (still great song tho)

The crabs are all my friends, every last one. I live as one of them

true

this is my kind of song, an atmospheric and tangible melancholy motif that slowly decays into chaos and comes back for a short time but not in the way it once was, bringing you out of the chaos, and making you consciously realize how far into insanity things have gone. You did an amazing job, and PAHC's level fits perfectly. I'll remember this for a long time. The melody of the motif is super memorable as well. It sounds very familiar, yet new, and captures a lot of emotion. I really like when people do stuff like that in ambient and progressive music. It really makes the song stand out, it's like giving it perspective and context. Something to bring you back and feel how deep you've gone.

triplebarrel responds:

...Thank you so much.

It has some really good concepts but jeez it's way to loud and is clipping like crazy lmao

Edit: the clipping could maybe be used well, it's just WAY too strong here.

Vth responds:

I know it's loud, and the clipping is attentional. Thank you for the feedback though!!! It means a lot!

pretty hot, although the drums are a bit heavy and repetitive

triplebarrel responds:

Thanks.

The ambient parts are amazing, the atmosphere is so impactful and well made, however the drop parts bring it down and are a bit of a disappointment. The calm parts have emotion and personality, like someone was inspired to make them, while the drop parts are just generic edm drops. It sounds like the song forgets it's own identity, and just tries to lazily copy other similar songs. They're also much too compressed. The calm parts are much more dynamic and open sounding. The drop parts don't have that. On top of all this, the song just kind of repeats it'self without really having a real direction. Some parts have soooo much potential, and it's sad to see it wasted, but then again, I wouldn't be able to do better...

PaperSkies responds:

Honestly man, I have to agree with you. This project is a few years old now and there's definitely some major compression issues in the drop. Was having lots of trouble at the time working out my saws and it was a little easier to work with a piano to create a nice atmospheric and wide setting. I'm super glad you enjoyed and thanks for the feedback! Was spot on!

I make stuff
